Snack smart with the rice cake delight
When hunger strikes it’s awfully tough to fight the urge to grab something salty, sweet, or savory. Blake Shutterly from BASE has the solution: the rice cake delight.
“I eat these after coaching my morning classes, or it’s my after-nap snack,” says Blake. Why? It’s a great serving of healthy fats, carbohydrates, and protein. (If you go with blueberries you’ll get a nice shot of antioxidants, too.)
When it comes to almond butter vs. peanut butter, the choice is yours.
Here, she and guest Anton Gutierrez show you how to whip up this quick and easy snack for any time at home or on-the-go. Plus, Blake’s trick on how to actually open a banana and why you need to inhale as you bite.
WHAT YOU NEED (serves 2):
2 rice cakes
Natural peanut butter or almond butter
Organic hemp seeds
Banana or blueberries
