The guilt-free skinny margarita
There’s nothing better than a refreshing cocktail after a long week of work and tough workouts. “A margarita can really hit the spot, “ says NEOU Director of Training Christi Marraccini. “But the calories can hit you in other places you might not want,” she adds.
Your typical margarita can pack anywhere between 200-300 calories and a whole lot of sugar from simple syrup. On the other hand, Christi’s Skinny Margarita hovers in the 120-calorie range by eliminating some of the unnecessary added sugars.
Here, she and guest Jamie Kinsley explain how to make the margarita with super-simple modifications so you can party on, guilt-free.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 bottle Casamigos Orange
1 orange
1 lime
Fresh mint

DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice orange and lime into halves and squeeze both into the mixer
3. Add tequila for 10 seconds
4. Add ice and shake
5. Salt the rim
6. Garnish with mint and a slice of fruit
